Immersive Learning at AUM

Learn High is a piloting project implemented by Power IT Development and the American University of Moldova, and it addresses the current challenge of digitalising academia by creating the first Immersive Learning Lab at the American University of Moldova. Comprising six accessible VR-enabled workstations adapted for 360-filmed content, the lab is configured to run the core Introduction to Management course conceived as a collection of 10 immersive and interactive scenarios. This contemporary and hands-on approach to adapting curriculum to modern world challenges equips students with the skills and practical knowledge needed to develop the skillsets required by the job market. Bridging the gap between theory and practice, our VR scenarios offer a unique immersive learning experience, previously inaccessible to Moldovan university students and academics. The interactive, engaging and focused learning medium uses real-life case studies and allows for an individually paced course delivery, increasing student participation and improving learning outcomes.

Description

“By its structure and content, the book responds to a triple imperative:

  1. It summarizes the 30 years of existence of the Republic of Moldova through notions and concepts that capture a cross-sectional reading of the era’s spirit started in 1991.
  2. In close connection with the previous imperative, the book propels the Moldovan case to its rightful place in social sciences, highlighting its intrinsic heuristic values.
  3. We enrich the theoretical, conceptual and methodological tools necessary for studying the Moldovan case through our joint effort.

We address this tool of work and knowledge – the result of collective reflection and analysis efforts – to the academic public and those interested in the recent past of the Republic of Moldova. ” (Dorina Roșca, Lidia Cotovanu)
