Project
„Pedagogy, Curriculum Transformation & Global Challenges”
The current Covid-19 pandemic created a once-in-a-century chance to reset the contemporary University, including the Moldovan one. At the American University of Moldova, we want to develop a successful post-pandemic university where students could have significant control over their learning experience. It means that the “new” University would reset its pedagogy (by integrating new technologies) and its curricula (by adapting them to the new socio-economic and political realities). Today’s context creates a great chance to put valuable pedagogical innovation at the students’ learning experience and the teachers’ / instructors’ working experience.
Within the current project, we will welcome Assoc. Prof., Dr. Anna Shostya, from Pace University (USA), Fulbright Specialist. Dr. Shostya will provide valuable help in seizing both technological advances and curriculum transformation. She will help break down barriers to access technologies and adapt the pedagogy and the curricula in economic sciences to the new challenges, boosting alternative teaching and better structure learning experiences in economic education by sharing the best pedagogical practices.
We hope thus to transform economic education in our University into meaningful engaging and active learning practice with significant control from the students in both online and hybrid environments.
Visit period: 1-23 of May 2023.
